随着抽象巨制《终末列车要开往哪里？》的热播，不禁让人想起水岛努监督在 8 年前编导的这部魔幻大作，于是趁势就制作了本片。
原盘画质一般，大部分场景原生分辨率 719.8p，OP 部分为 720p。全片线条偏糊，有明显锯齿，暗场有不少色带，噪点质量也很一般，尤其是线条周围有一些蚊噪。考虑到背景也很糊，而且暗场偏多，因此我们稍微提高了降噪和去色带时的强度。除此之外就是一些常规操作：逆向拉升重构、抗锯齿、补偿性锐化。最后我们重构了噪点层以提升观感。
As the surreal anime Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku? gains popularity, it’s time to revisit this 8-year-old “masterpiece” also produced by Mizushima Tsutomu.
The Blu-ray source quality is mediocre. Most of the scenes have a native resolution of 719.8p, except the OP which has 720p instead. The lines look blurry throughout the series, and aliasing is very noticeable. The dark scenes have colour banding issues, and the grains don’t look very good either – particularly with mosquito noise around the lines. Considering the blurry background and the abundance of dark scenes, we have slightly increased the strength of denoising and de-banding. PP also includes our routine descale and reconstruction, anti-aliasing and contra-sharpening. Finally, we reconstructed the noise layer to improve the viewing experience.
